NYC Specialized High Schools

New York City has nine specialized high schools that provide students with opportunities to pursue special interests and develop their talents. Current 8th grade students and first-time 9th grade students can apply to any or all of the specialized high schools: 

• Stuyvesant High School 
• The Bronx High School of Science 
• Brooklyn Technical High School 
• Staten Island Technical High School 
• The Brooklyn Latin School 
• High School of American Studies at Lehman College 
• High School of Mathematics, Science, and Engineering at City College 
• Queens High School for the Sciences at York College 
• Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts
